Current projects at the Bogus - Fall 2025 - 26

This is a pavilion within which garden beds were placed and planted this past spring and summer (‘25). The upcoming project will enclose the 24’ x 32’ covered area with wood and screening to prevent the various pests in the area (rabbits / squirrels / racoons / deer / groundhogs) from raiding the planting beds. The front half may be converted to house half a dozen chickens and store garden tools and supplies. Water and electricity have been added to the pavilion over recent years in preparation for the completed project.

A second view of the pavilion. The field beyond this photo is in the process of being enclosed by 6’ wire fencing. Both projects are hoped to be completed by Spring 2026 (planting).

Mesh netting installed…

Short cedar planks painted and installed below netting on south side of planting pavilion. Snow, rain, and low temps have halted attachment of further planks as well as painting until the weather clears next Spring (‘26).

“Bogus” property view. Buildings (left to right) - open sided plant pavilion, pole barn, and cabin.

Future outside garden area (to be fenced) looking south…
